Alison Hyman is a Scottish-born artist whose multidisciplinary practice explores themes of heritage, identity, and memory. Born in Glasgow, she earned her undergraduate degree in Textile Design and Printmaking from the Glasgow School of Art, followed by an MA in Education from Strathclyde University. After receiving a Master’s in Educational Computing, Hyman relocated to the United States, where she later earned an MFA from Laguna College of Art and Design.

Hyman has been exhibiting her work internationally since the 1960s, with pieces held in private and public collections across the United States and Europe. She currently maintains a studio in Palm Desert, California, where her work continues to be informed by her Scottish-Jewish roots and a deep engagement with contemporary cultural narratives.
